Hi, I am Ana!
I am the founder of PURENERGY Nutrition. I am also a qualified nutritionist, scientist, mum of two incredible boys and a proud 43 year-old woman navigating perimenopause myself.
My journey into nutrition did not begin in the wellness industry. It began in science.
I completed a PhD in Psychiatric Genetics before spending more than 15 years in research and development, working on groundbreaking immunotherapies for cancer, including breast and ovarian cancer.
My work focused on understanding the immune system and helping develop innovative therapies designed to reach patients who needed them most. Throughout my career, I worked on and led programmes that helped bring new treatments closer to the clinic, combining scientific research with a deep awareness that behind every piece of data is a real person hoping for a better quality of life.
And that human connection stayed with me.
Over the years, I became increasingly aware that health is not only shaped by major medical interventions, but also by the small daily actions that influence how we feel, function and live our lives — especially nutrition, lifestyle and the ability to care for ourselves consistently.
At the same time, I was experiencing my own challenges as a busy working mother navigating changing energy, hormones, body composition, and the constant mental load that so many women carry every day.
I realised something important: even women who are intelligent, capable and highly informed, can struggle to prioritise their own health when life already feels overwhelming.
And most nutrition advice, and there is so much contradictory information out there, only adds to that pressure.
That is what led me to retrain in nutrition through MNU and create PURENERGY Nutrition.
I wanted to bring together:
- scientific rigour,
- evidence-based nutrition,
- real-life practicality,
- compassionate support
to help women improve their health without adding more stress, confusion, or unrealistic expectations.
My approach is rooted in science, but designed for real life - with practical, family-friendly nutrition strategies that fit into busy everyday life.
No fads. No extremes. No perfection required.
Just clear, personalised guidance to help women:
- improve energy and wellbeing,
- support sustainable weight loss,
- navigate perimenopause with confidence,
- reduce the mental load around food and health,
- feel more like themselves again.
I also support women who are considering, using, or transitioning away from GLP-1 weight loss medications, offering balanced and evidence-based guidance alongside any treatment approach they choose.
Because no woman should feel like she has to figure all of this out alone.
Nutrition should feel supportive, not overwhelming.
